Philadelphia 76ers Schedule: Slow Start Could Lead to a Losing Season

(Philadelphia, PA)- The NBA released their 2010-11 regular season schedule today. For the Philadelphia 76ers, the powers that be were not so nice, giving the team one of the hardest roads to the playoffs in years.

The Sixers are looking to improve from their 27-55 record in 2009-10, in which they only won 12 games at home and went a terrible 15-26 on the road.

Not only do the Sixers have to begin their season against two returning playoff teams (Miami, Oct 27; Atlanta, Oct 29), they have 11 occasions in the 2010 portion of their schedule where they will play on back-to-back days.

The Sixers will have three extended road trips, two of them in the first half of the season. One trip consists of five games, the other, eight road games to end the year.

After they face Atlanta-Indiana and Washington-Indiana in back-to-back series in a time period of five days, they will prepare to hit the road on a five-game road trip that will see them head to New York, O.K City, Dallas, San Antonio, and Cleveland.
