Philadelphia 76er Andre Iguodala Strains His Achilles Tendon Against the Cavs

November 6th, 2010 by Michael Fogliano Leave a reply »
Last night the Sixers lost their fifth game of the season to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 123-116.

In a game against the Indiana Pacers earlier this week, all the chatter was surrounded over Doug Collins.

What people didn't talk about was how Iguodala suffered an Achilles tendon strain that night and played through it.

Before last night's game, his foot was still bothering him, however, he still decided to play through because he knew the Sixers needed him.

It turns out he pressed his luck too far.

Unfortunately, in the second quarter of last night's game, he hurt it even more. Therefore, Iguodala was forced to leave the game at halftime.

A MRI is scheduled for today on his right foot and we will know further details on how serious the injury really is.

If it turns out to be a serious injury, this could be a long season for the 76ers.
