Phil Jackson Is Coming Back To The Lakers For The 2010-2011 Season

Lakers coach Phil Jackson will return to the Los Angeles Lakers for at least one more season.

After stating last week he was leaning toward retirement, Jackson announced in a news release, after taking a week off to rest in his offseason home in Montana, that he has decided to come back to go for his 12th NBA championship.

Jackson sits as the winningest coach in NBA playoff history with 225 victories and two more championships than Boston Celtics Red Auerbach.

Jackson said next season will be a "last stand" for him and he "hopes it's a grand one."

An interesting question to throw out there is if the Lakers were to win a championship next year, would Jackson be considered a Chicago Bull or Los Angeles Laker as he won six championships with Michael Jordan in Chicago and six with Kobe Bryant in Los Angeles.

Something to think about, and I'm sure something no one will argue about...
