Phil Jackson Claims Shaq Created Rift with Kobe by Playing ‘Clown Role’

March 1st, 2014 by Tyler Brooke Leave a reply »

It appears NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson doesn't really have a problem opening up about the relationship between Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

While attending the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, Jackson spoke on the differences between Shaq and Kobe. According to Jackson, he felt the rift between the two future Hall of Famers grew due to the fact that Shaq played the "clown role" on the team.

Jackson opened up on other topics as well at the conference, including Dennis Rodman and the Chicago Bulls.
