In Sunday's 111-107 win over the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis became the first player age 20 or under since Shaquille O'Neal in 1992-93 to record 30 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in one game, per ESPN Stats & Info.
To be exact, Davis had 32 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks, adding three assists and a steal, while making 10 of his 20 field-goal attempts and 12 of his 16 free-throw attempts.
He easily reached the 30-15-5 threshold, but his age was another matter entirely. With his 21st birthday on Tuesday, Davis barely notched the "20 or under" qualification, making it by just two days.
O'Neal had no such problem back in 1993, when he posted two 30-15-5 games in a span of just 10 days, nearly two months before his 21st birthday. O'Neal's 1992-93 rookie season accounts for three of the four 30-15-5 games by a 20-year-old in league history, with Davis' performance on Monday providing the other.
