Rivers Comments on Pierce's Injury

Head coach Doc Rivers said Pierce's injury would not end his season, per Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times. However, Rivers did say Pierce would be "out for a while," according to ESPN.com's J.A. Adande.
Clippers PR provided the following statement to Jay King of MassLive.com: "I don't think it's too bad. Dodged a bullet, it looks like."
Pierce missed three games in mid-March when he nursed a toe injury, but his only other absences this season have been scheduled maintenance days.
A year after providing stability from beyond the arc for the Washington Wizards en route to a second-round playoff exit against the Atlanta Hawks, Pierce has struggled to find a rhythm with the Clippers.
