Indiana Pacers forward Paul George is dealing with an ankle injury as the season comes to a close.

George Battling Sore Ankle Saturday, April 9 According to the Indianapolis Star's Nate Taylor, George did not practice on Saturday because of a sore left ankle, but he does plan on playing in Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. 

George aggravated his ankle against the New York Knicks on April 3, per Pacers play-by-play man Mark Boyle (via Pacers radio host Pat Boylan). 

Many wondered how George would perform in his first full season back following his gruesome leg injury in August 2014. Not only has the Pacers star remained relatively healthy, but he's also having arguably the best year of his NBA career.

In 79 games, the three-time All-Star is averaging 23.3 points, seven rebounds and four assists a night. According to NBA.com, Indiana is six points better per 100 possessions with George on the floor.
