Pau Gasol Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Knee and Return

As the Chicago Bulls' season continues to spiral downward, an injury to Pau Gasol's knee is just rubbing salt in the wound.

Gasol Out vs. Knicks Thursday, March 24 Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News confirmed Gasol will not be available on Thursday. 


In a season that has been dominated by injuries for the Bulls, Gasol has been the one constant presence. He's tied for second on the team in scoring, first in rebounds and third in assists. 

The Bulls have fallen out of the Eastern Conference playoffs, hovering around the .500 mark. Joakim Noah's shoulder injury in January, which required season-ending surgery, was the first domino to fall in Chicago's collapse. 

Jimmy Butler's knee injury, which continued to linger even after he returned on March 5, came in the midst of the Bulls' downfall.
