Patrick Beverley Injury: Updates on Rockets Guard’s Knee and Return

Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley has been dealing with left knee irritation throughout the preseason and it is uncertain when he will return to action.

Latest on Beverley's Playing Status Sunday, Oct. 16

"What I hear, it's just a matter of a couple weeks," head coach Mike D'Antoni said of Beverley's absence from team activities due to his knee injury, per Josh Reese of The Dream Shake. "I would love for him to be with us now, I know he's suffering through not playing, but it's a long season, whatever it takes to get him well, he'll eventually get well."

This is another setback for Beverley, who has been injury-plagued throughout his career. His 71 appearances in 2015-16 marked the first time he ever played more than 56 games in a single campaign.

The guard averaged 9.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game last season and stretched opposing defenses by hitting 40 percent of his three-pointers.
