Orlando Magic, Week 22: Facing LeBron James On The Road To The Playoffs

The regular season is drawing to a close and the Magic have locked up the second seed in the East with a 54-23 record.. As it stands, Orlando will be facing the Charlotte Bobcats in the first round of the playoffs. Orlando started off their short week on Thursday in Dallas. The Magic delivered the Mavericks a 97-82 loss. Dwight Howard had no trouble with the Mavs, scoring 17 points, blocking five shots, and grabbing 20 boards. Mickael Pietrus came off the bench to lead Orlando with 24 points. Dirk Nowizki's 24 points wasn't enough to keep Dallas in the game, as he was the only starter with double-digit scoring. JJ Barea and Rodrique Beaubois each scored 16 for the Mavs. The Magic were not so lucky on Friday night as they headed to San Antonio. The Spurs jumped on Orlando and came away wit a 112-100 victory. Manu Ginobili was unstoppable, leading all scorers with 43 points. Tim Duncan didn't hurt the cause with his 23 for the game. Pietrus came up big off the bench once again, scoring 18 points.
