Orlando Magic Week 10 Preview: Matt Barnes Enters the Picture

The Orlando Magic are starting to come together as a team. At 24-9 without "coming together", the Magic have proven what a dangerous team they can be. In the face of a Rashard Lewis suspension, injuries to Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter, and players, like Marcin Gortat, complaining about playing time, Orlando has been able to get the job done night in and night out. In Wednesday nights showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando put the team ethic into play. Every player was on the court for at least 14 minutes each and played well as a unit. Shooting .558 from the floor helped push the Magic to a 117-92 victory over the reeling Bucks. Vince Carter led the way with a 25 point performance while overcoming a Ersan Ilyasove shoulder to the head. On Friday night, the Magic headed to Minneapolis to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. This game put more emphasis on the starters minutes. One of those starters was Matt Barnes, the energetic small forward with a solid defensive game.
