Orlando Magic Deal Vince Carter To Phoenix Suns, Still Interested In Arenas

After being in some serious trade conversations with the Washington Wizards regarding the acquisition of Gilbert Arenas, the Orlando Magic have traded Vince Carter to the Phoenix Suns.  The trade is not finalized but the terms have been agreed upon by both sides.

Orlando also sends Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, a 2011 first-round pick, and cash considerations to the Suns in return for Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark.

But the Magic aren't finished yet.

It has been reported by the Associated Press, that Otis Smith, president of the Orlando Magic, has said that serious trade talks have existed between Orlando and the Washington Wizards surrounding Gilbert Arenas.  Smith was not too specific when talking about the potential deal, but rated Orlando's pursuit of Arenas as an "eight out of 10."

The Magic and Wizards have reportedly been discussing possible trades involving Arenas since last summer.  Once Arenas was suspended for the final 50 games of last season for the locker room gun-flashing incident, it was quite obvious that Arenas would be moved in the near future.  Now, with the Magic sho ...
