Open Letter to NBA’s Top Two Free Agents

Dear LeBron and Dwyane:

Since the two of you have been sneaking in private conversations of you next possible free agent destinations, have you considered an NBA city north of the Windy City?

LeBron, take a cue from Dwyane.  He knows this city very well.

In fact, he comes back occasionally during the regular season.

Don't worry about the salary of one broken-down player on the team.  His motor is shot.

And the owner is fuming over having to pay over $18 million for one more season of a worn-out part.

I know that commissioner David Stern isn't going to punish either of you for your chats before the official free agent signing period on July 1.

If both of you can take a pay cut for a couple of years, we would love to have you.

You guys will be the reasons that opponents will Fear the Deer.

Worried about what to do for the summer?  Problem solved.

Every weekend during the summer, there are ethnic or church festivals taking place somewhere.

But if you get bored sometimes, you can go to Chicago.
