Oklahoma Retires Blake Griffin’s No. 23 Jersey Before Game vs. Baylor

On Tuesday night, the Oklahoma Sooners retired Blake Griffin's No. 23 jersey before beating Baylor 73-71.

It was a nice change of pace for the Los Angeles Clippers star, who has taken quite a beating in the media over the past few months after his scuffle with a team manager resulted in a broken hand.

Griffin only spent two years as a Sooner, but they were good ones.

In 2008-09, he was named the Associated Press Player of the Year and Big 12 Player of the Year, and he was a consensus All-American after averaging 22.7 points on 65.4 percent shooting with 14.4 boards. He also led Oklahoma to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament.

The five-time NBA All-Star seemed genuinely touched by the honor and addressed the crowd before tipoff:
