The Oklahoma City Thunder seized a 2-1 first-round series lead over the Dallas Mavericks Thursday night with a dominant 131-102 road victory. This came just three nights after the Thunder scored 84 points in a one-point loss to the Mavericks at home.

Kevin Durant used a hot start to get Oklahoma City going, and he finished with 34 points. Russell Westbrook added 25 points and 16 assists, and Enes Kanter and Dion Waiters dropped an efficient 21 and 19 points off the bench, respectively.

Although the Thunder built a healthy early lead and maintained it all game, it was a physical contest throughout. The squads combined for 54 fouls and there was even a third-quarter scuffle between Raymond Felton of the Mavericks and Steven Adams of the Thunder.

Dallas got solid efforts from Wesley Matthews (22 points), Felton (18 points) and Dirk Nowitzki (16 points), but it just didn't have the youth to curb the energy of Oklahoma City's athletes defensively Thursday night.

Game 4 will take place Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, also at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
