Oklahoma City Thunder Defeats an Injury-Plagued Rockets Team 116-99

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated an injury-plagued Houston Rockets team 116-99 in front of a huge crowd at the Oklahoma City Arena Wednesday night, to push their season record to seven wins against four losses.  The Thunder were led by their dynamic duo once again as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook continue to come through in the clutch.

The Thunder had a balanced scoring attack led by Kevin Durant with 24 and Russell Westbrook with 21, but the story of the night was the emergence of Serge Ibaka.  Ibaka got the start at the power forward position, since Jeff Green is still out with an injury and took advantage of it by posting 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. 

The Thunder were in control the entire way as the Rockets were without several of their best players.  However, the Rockets didn't quit fighting even though the Thunder's balanced attack was too much to compete with in the end. Luis Scola led the Rockets with a game-high 26 points and Kevin Martin chipped in 19 points.
