Behind 36 points from Russell Westbrook, the Oklahoma City Thunder (26-11) topped Lou Williams and the Los Angeles Lakers (8-30), 117-113 at the Staples Center on Friday.

With the game on the line late, Westbrook took over. He had 10 of his 36 in the fourth quarter alone. He had 12 rebounds and seven assists for the game.

Kevin Durant chipped in with 24 points on 15 shots. The superstar duo was joined in double figures by Enes Kanter (15), Cameron Payne (11) and Steven Adams (10).

Williams kept the Lakers in the game throughout, but was particularly impressive in the fourth quarter. He scored 23 of his career-high 44 points in that frame.

Despite Williams' hot night, the Lakers isolated Kobe Bryant for their last possession of the game. Down two with 13 seconds left, Bryant forced a tough shot over Kevin Durant and came up short. He finished with 19 points on 20 shots.

OKC now leads the season series, 3-0. The final meeting between these teams will be on April 11 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
