NOLA Sports Betting: Take Hornets Over Thunder

In the first of an ongoing series involving New Orleans betting, I am going to start with $1,000 dollars cash and make bets only on Louisiana teams. I'll keep continual track of my progress at the conclusion of each article.

Over the years I've had pretty consistent success, so if you enjoy betting, it's worth a look.

Tonight the Hornets play the Oklahoma City Thunder, in Oklahoma.

The Thunder have been surprisingly good this year, posting a record of 19-15 so far overall, but only winning 9 of 16 at home. They have been playing well all year.

The Hornets on the other hand started out the season horribly.

It's only recently that they seem to be coming together well, both at home and on the road. They have won 6 of 9, and Monday's win in Utah broke a long losing streak that dated back years.

Let's look at the numbers.

New Orleans is getting 4.5 points and +180 on the money line.

Both of these bets are great, but I like the +180 more for a few reasons.

First off, the Thunder have never beaten the Hornets.
