Nikola Vucevic Injury: Updates on Magic Star’s Knee and Return

Coming off a breakout season last year, Orlando Magic star center Nikola Vucevic finds himself hobbling due to an injured knee.

Vucevic Nursing Sprained Knee Thursday, Nov. 5 Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel confirmed Vucevic's diagnosis after the center fell to the floor following an apparent non-contact injury. The big man later addressed the scare following Orlando's 119-114 loss to the Houston Rockets, per the team's official website, but he didn't sound overly concerned with the sprain. 

Fortunately, it appears as though Vucevic escaped without suffering a significant setback. 

In three years with the Magic, Vucevic is averaging 15.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game with a shooting percentage of 51.8. The 25-year-old made such an impression on the front office that he was rewarded with a four-year, $53 million contract extension before last season began.
