Nike, World Brace for Kobe Bryant’s Twitter ‘Takeover’

Get ready, Twittersphere. Kobe Bryant has come to take over.

According to Nike Basketball's Twitter feed, The Black Mamba will control its account for "a few days." In fact, they've even changed their Display Name to "Kobe Bryant."

Proof enough?

Many fans have shared the same sentiment: "It's about time."

Bryant has been one of the few professional athletes to not embrace Twitter. Although he almost always has heart-warming messages for his fans and followers on Facebook, Kobe never seemed to buy into the "140 characters" game.

Until now. You know, temporarily.

Whether Bryant will grace Twitter with his own account has yet to be seen. What is clear, however, is that Showtime is discovering a resurrection in Los Angeles as their leaders are becoming the characters we know them to be.

Even if they're limited by 140 of them.
