Nick Young Signs Sneaker Contract with Adidas: Latest Details and Reaction

Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young has signed a shoe contract with Adidas, per Nick DePaula of NiceKicks.com.

The nine-year veteran, who also goes by Swaggy P, has made waves with not only his play but also his comments, which recently focused on how Kobe Bryant's play is hurting the team.

Incidentally, Young picked up his first-ever assist to Bryant in a loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday night, to which Young quipped, per ESPN.com, "It was the Yeezys tonight that got the assist for him."

That swagger might be what Adidas finds appealing about Young, who is averaging 9.2 points per game this season and 12.2 for his career.



The more Young's name is in the news, the more exposure Adidas will get. And with a fiancee like Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, the upbeat 30-year-old has no problem on that front.

Young posted a picture on Instagram of the Yeezy 750 Boost prior to the Rockets game:



Young had worn Nikes ever since his USC days, per DePaula, who also said the shoe giant had a shot at making an offer to Young but declined Friday.
