New York Knicks: What Must Go Right

I’d be demised if I didn’t mention the monkey in the room. Actually the 325lb monkey in the room. Of course I’m talking about Eddy Curry. After no showing all off season activities Mr. Curry decided to arrive at training camp weighing an amazing 325lbs. I understand he’s a massive human being but how can a professional athlete entering his contract season arrive at training weighing 25-50 lbs above his optimal playing weight.

Don’t worry though Knick fans, Curry broke his previous record and made it through 3 practices before coming up lame with a hamstring injury sidelining him for 4 to 6 weeks. 4 to 6 weeks might as well be 4 to 6 months in my opinion. I’m over Eddy Curry (getting over Eddy takes at least 5 travel days). If playing for another contract doesn’t motivate the guy nothing will. Curry will always be remembered as one of most talented big men to never amount to anything. Let’s not forget in 2007 Curry averaged 19.5ppg and 7.5 rbg. On to bigger and better things.
