New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat: Analysis, Updates and Highlights

January 6th, 2016 by Michael Whitlow Leave a reply »
To kick off ESPN’s NBA Wednesday doubleheader, Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks took on Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat from AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

The Heat took the first two meetings of the year, but Wednesday was all about the Knicks.

Led by 25 points from Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks picked up their third win in a row with a 98-90 victory over the Heat.

Anthony didn’t do it alone.

Along with Anthony and two other double-figure scorers, Robin Lopez had one of his best games of the season with a 19-point outing on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.

The Knicks were balanced offensively, but it was the defense that helped dictate the tempo and help New York take control of the contest for most of the night.

Miami missed 15 of their 17 attempts from three-point range, while the Knicks shot over 55 percent from the field; their highest mark of the season in one game.
