The Atlanta Hawks snapped an eight-game losing streak on Saturday night with a 107-98 win over the New York Knicks.
The Knicks (21-35) have now lost two games in a row and sit five-and-a-half games behind the Hawks (26-29) for the Eastern Conference's eighth and final playoff spot.
Mike Scott and DeMarre Carroll both recorded career-high scoring marks in the win, totaling 30 and 24 points, respectively on a night when the Hawks exploded in the second half to erase a 13-point halftime deficit.
Scott shot 11-of-14 from the field and 6-of-7 from three while Carroll shot 57 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
Point guard Jeff Teague was steady throughout, as well, and scored 28 points while dishing out six assists and recording a team-best mark of plus-18.
After a lethargic first half, the Hawks erupted for 29 points in the third quarter and 39 in the fourth, outscoring the Knicks by 22 over the game's final 24 minutes.
