Nene Hilario Injury: Updates on Wizards PF’s Calf and Return

Washington Wizards power forward Nene Hilario suffered a calf injury Friday against the Boston Celtics. It is unclear when he will return to the court.

Nene a Vital Role Player for Wizards Castillo indicated it may be the same injury that had been nagging Nene earlier in the week:



Nene, 33, has established himself as a solid role player off the bench for Washington, providing a big body on the block. He had a strong season for the team in 2014-15, averaging 11.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 25.3 minutes per game.

This season, he's averaging 7.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.

While Nene recovers, starter Kris Humphries will likely play more minutes, while Jared Dudley's role will increase as well. Otto Porter Jr. could also see some run at the power forward position.
