NBA Western Conference Finals: Sun Setting on Phoenix Suns, Steve Nash

Game Three of the Western Conference Finals between Los Angeles and Phoenix tips off this Sunday at 8:30 EST at US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ. With the Suns in a 0-2 hole, the prospects don't look good for Steve Nash reaching the NBA Finals and finally capturing that title that has alluded him for 13 seasons.

Through the first two games of the series, the Suns have had no answer for the Lakers' Big Three of Bryant, Gasol, and Odom. They have been outmatched in almost every phase of the game. The Lakers are outscoring the Suns by 16.5 points per game, are shooting a better percentage from the field and the line, have out-rebounded the Suns in both games, and are holding Phoenix to 32.6 percent from behind the three-point line.

Bryant, Gasol, and Odom are averaging 73.5 points and 26.5 rebounds in the series. And that's with Odom coming off the bench. Contrast that with Suns stars Nash, Stoudemire, and Hill. They are only accounting for 47.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
