Andre Iguodala has been the subject of numerous trade rumors dating back to last season. He's spent his entire career in Philadelphia, but the team is heading in a new direction, and many wonder if Iggy's a part of the 76ers future.
Due in part to injuries, he's gotten off to a bit of a slow start. He showed tonight against the Wizards that he may be coming out of his slump. Despite shooting poorly from the field, Iguodala put up 23 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and played 50 minutes against the Washington Wizards.
He's a great all-around shooting guard. He can finish above the rim, rebound, pass, handle the ball and defend the wing.
If he could stay healthy, adding Iguodala to the Dallas Mavericks could make them serious contenders in the west.
The Deal: The Mavericks get Andre Iguodala, Jodie Meeks and Jason Kapono while the 76ers get Caron Butler, Dominique Jones and DeShawn Stevenson.
Why It Works For Philadelphia: Caron Butler is a great short-term replacement for Iguodala. Plus, he's on an expiring contract. If he doesn't work out for Philly, they can just let him walk ...
