NBA Trade Rumors: Why the Boston Celtics Should Trade for Michael Beasley

There has been word that Miami is looking to dump Michael Beasley so that they can clear up cap space and correct what they feel, at this point, was a mistake.

If so then please dump him in the Boston Celtics' direction. Michael Beasley is a still a great talent and could benefit from a situation where he can learn from Kevin Garnett and the other veterans on that team. In 2009 Beasley supposedly checked himself into a rehab clinic for the repeated use of marijuana. He has also violated team policy more than one time in his two years with Miami.

Right now Beasley seems like he’s in a very dark place. But with the Celtics I can guarantee you that he will be a star.

The one thing that Boston has is locker room presence. Boston’s locker room is filled with guys who understand the game; a core of veterans who can shine the light in the right direction for this young man.

Nate Robinson was a complete wreck in New York. But after this team got a hold of him things changed. The Celtics are no nonsense. It doesn’t matter where you came from, when you step in the locker room as a teammate you are part of a unit.
