NBA Trade Rumors: Nets Move Terrence Williams in Three-Team Swap, What’s Next?

The New Jersey Nets have recently sent the two-year swingman out of Louisville, Terrence Williams, to the Houston Rockets in a three-team trade.  The Nets also got rid of Joe Smith while obtaining shooting guard Sasha Vujacic and a 2011 first-round pick from the Los Angeles Lakers, along with a 2012 first-round draft pick from the Houston Rockets.

After announcing the move on Wednesday, Nets general manager Billy King said, "This trade benefits our team in both the short and long term.  Sasha is a veteran NBA player who will add depth to our backcourt rotation, while the addition of the two future number one picks adds to our assets as we look to rebuild into a championship contender."

The Nets now possess five first round picks over the next two years, which have many analysts and experts talking.  With all of these first round picks at their disposal, along with a number of talented young players, New Jersey can go after Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony and possibly even another big name player.  There has been a lot of trade speculation surrounding Philadelphia 76er Andre Iguodala of late, which has to make the Nets at least ponder ...
