There is a rumors swirling that the Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic are discussing a straight up trade of Orlando Magic's Vince Carter for Washington Wizards' Gilbert Arenas.

The Case for Vince Carter going to Washington

With Vince Carter going to Washington, the Wizards become an even more attractable team for potential free-agents to sign with.

Vince Carter is a better suited player to play alongside John Wall at the point. Yes, Carter may be reaching the end of his career soon. However, the Wizards have one year to see how things pan out for Vince Carter since his contract is due up at the end of the year.

Having a back court duo of John Wall and Vince Carter could be scary. Bring in a player like Chris Bosh or Amar'e Stoudemire, the Washington Wizards make it into the playoffs next year.

Having a veteran guy like Carter around, who can still play at a high level, will be the perfect fit for John Wall and the Wizards. If Carter does not pan out as expected, he is gone by the end of this year.
