NBA Trade Rumors: Five Chris Paul Moves That Could Work

It looks like Chris Paul is following in the footsteps of his “big bro” LeBron James. In other words, Paul is as good as gone. The disgruntled All-Star point guard wants out of New Orleans, which sucks for me considering that’s where I’m from. Trust me when I say Paul is one of three reasons fans go to Hornets game, the other two being big-ass beers and the fact that the Saints only play on Sundays. Now, as most NBA fans have heard by now, Paul has indicated to Hornets management that he would prefer to go to one of four teams: New York, Orlando, Dallas or Portland. Well, that’s all good and well. I can’t say I totally blame him for wanting out because the Hornets have been put in a sleeper hold by bad contracts and are going nowhere fast. But it seems CP3 doesn’t realize that he has no leverage in forcing his trade demands. While he may be dreaming of playing alongside Dwight Howard, the Hornets don’t have to send him to one of these four teams. In a world where everyone wins, Paul would get his wish and go to a contender while the Hornets would get some solid young talent and cap relief. But that just isn’t the case. ...
