NBA Trade Rumors: Chris Paul Would Make Orlando Magic Title Favorites

This is the time of year when NBA trade rumors are swirling furiously.  The Orlando Magic have recently been at the front and center of many of these rumors, mainly because of their disappointing Conference Finals exit. I for one, would definitely not be against such a move. It is sorely needed to take the next step. One rumor involves Gilbert Arenas going to Orlando. It is certainly interesting, but the most intriguing one involves Chris Paul for a possible combination of Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter. The reason is obvious; Paul is light years ahead of Arenas and would be the perfect fit for Orlando. The trade seems like Orlando would be giving up a lot at first glance: two starters for Paul. But, don't be fooled, it would be completely worth it. Carter never completely fit in with Orlando's philosophy, and he would easily be replaced by J.J. Redick.  Redick isn't as physically talented as Carter, obviously. But his three-point shooting fits more into Orlando's offensive philosophy.
