NBA Trade Rumors: Boston Celtics Show Interest in Larry Hughes

This is not an official rumour but I would like to start one and campaign for the Boston Celtics to get Larry Hughes. Yes, the trading deadline is over and he is officially the property of the Sacramento Kings; however, NBATV reported that the Kings are in the process of buying out h. is contract.

Everyone knows about his messy divorce with Lebron. Larry Hughes was Danny Ferry's first attempt to get Lebron James a legitimate two-man. Hughes is not a spot-up shooter and did not relish the fact that he had to stand on the perimeter waiting for his shots. 

At 6'5", Hughes is a poor mans Scottie Pippen-like player. He gives you defense, offense and another body that can create his own shot.

He is not a selfish player by any means; he is a willing passer and can explode for 20 points at any given time.

Mike D'Antoni's run-and-gun style was not a good fit for his talents and the Sacramento Kings have no real need for him on their roster. The other contending teams do not have a need for him and at this stage of his career, I am sure he would accept the veteran's minimum to play for a championship.
