NBA Trade Rumors: Are Minnesota Timberwolves Actively Shopping Al Jefferson?

According to ESPN.com, the Minnesota Timberwolves have made their choice between Kevin Love and Al Jefferson.

And they choose Love.

Reports suggest the team is doing everything in its power to unload Jefferson's hefty salary in order to free up playing time for the cheaper and more versatile Love.  

They are also trying to get solid players and/or expiring contracts in return.

Minnesota has supposedly spoken with the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies, among other teams.

Names like Troy Murphy, Tayshaun Prince, and Zach Randolph have been thrown around, although no known deals have been placed on the table.

Minnesota is also rumored to be shopping Jonny Flynn and some of their draft picks in order to change position in the draft, and possibly land an upgrade at point guard.

Regardless, unloading Jefferson appears to be their main objective.
