I bought a lottery ticket the other day and, like most of us, dreamt of what I would do if I won the lottery. That's all we're really getting with a lottery ticket, not really a chance to be a millionaire, but the 3-5 minutes of dreaming what we would do if we became a millionaire.

The Warriors are in a unique spot; here they are essentially holding a $17 million lottery ticket in the form of expiring contracts, leaving all the Warriors fans daydreaming of what could be if the Warriors cash in their ticket.

With the trade deadline fast approaching, new Warriors CEO Joe Lacob has promised that this is not the same old Warriors. Perhaps a deal may be in the works?

Hopefully he is true to his word because the old Warriors wouldn't have even realized that they had "won the lottery" and just let those contacts expire and head back to the NBA lottery.

With many teams looking to sell, the Warriors should be looking to buy to make a strong push for the playoffs, and have Lacob make good on his promise.

So rather than sit back and daydream like the fans, it's time to make a change and cash that ticket in before it's too late.
