NBA Summer League 2013: Day 9 Scores, Stats and Highlights from Vegas

Semifinals berths were on the line on Day 9 of the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League. The Miami Heat summer league squad has risen to the occasion despite entering the tournament part of the Vegas schedule as the 18th seed.

On Saturday, the Heat knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers 82-76. 

The Heat got double-doubles from Jarvis Varnado (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Damion James (12 points, 10 rebounds). They were two of five Heat players who scored in double figures.

 

The Cavs were led by Justin Harper, who had 21 points, and Jermaine Taylor, who finished with 20 points. Miami's 35-24 edge on the glass was the biggest difference in the game.
