NBA Stock Report: The Last Eight Playoff Teams and Where They Stand

So it has come to this. We have reached the last week of the NBA regular season, and although most of the teams qualifying have been determined, the order of their seeding remains a mystery. In the Eastern Conference the top four seeds are locked up, but Boston and Atlanta remain in a fight for the crucial third seed which could be important if the two teams meet in the playoffs. The bottom four seeds are a lot less settled as Milwaukee, Miami, and Charlotte have all qualified for the postseason, and are embroiled in a struggle for the fifth seed, which could last until the end of the regular season. The playoff picture in the West has even less clarity as every seed from 2-8 has yet to be established, and one loss could potentially mean the difference in home court advantage, or starting the postseason on the road. All rankings are based on the current NBA standings, and if the season ended today these would be the final eight teams to qualify for the postseason.
