NBA: Should Cleveland Cavaliers Retire LeBron’s Number? James Says Yes

While looking ahead to their match-up against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, it's only natural for the media to begin hounding LeBron James with questions about his former team.

Now to go along with this hounding, there are bound to be plenty of dumb and even obnoxious questions asked by reporters, possibly trying to push whatever buttons they can to ignite a Derek Anderson-esqu outburst.

Chalk the following question under "just plain dumb".

On Tuesday, James was asked whether he'd like to see the Cavaliers retire his No. 23 jersey some day.

"Wow. Of course," James said. "If that's something that organization and franchise would do, I'm all respectful of that. I just tried to be the best player I could be every night, whether I was in that Cavalier uniform, that USA uniform. If that results in me having my jersey retired that would be great."

The best player you could be every night?  Did you forget about game five?

But let's be fair.  He is the franchise scoring leader in just the seven seasons he spent there.  He resurrected a dead franchise who had previously traded for Darius M ...
