NBA Rumors: Rounding Up Latest Trade and Free-Agent Buzz as Deadline Nears

Normally, the NBA trade deadline is met with a roll of the eyes, and everybody continues with his day.

This time, though, things feel different.

It seems this year will not be content to produce no notable trades. Historic franchises such as the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are sellers. Buyers include the surging Atlanta Hawks, the Chicago Bulls and perhaps even the Cleveland Cavaliers. Injuries make a team such as the Los Angeles Clippers quite interesting, too.

Were this any other year, observers could sleep a bit on the impending deadline and not miss much.

Not this time around.

 

Mo on the Move 



Now 32 years old, Mo Williams may be in for a change of scenery once again. 

Any potential interest in the Minnesota Timberwolves guard makes loads of sense. He touts an expiring contract that only counts for $3.75 million this year, per Spotrac. A 12.2/6.4/2.4 slash line on 28.0 minutes per game does not hurt, either.
