NBA Rumors: New Jersey Nets Still Not Giving Up on Carmelo Anthony

It has been reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, that the New Jersey Nets and Denver Nuggets are attempting to get a deal into place involving Carmelo Anthony, once again.

An unknown NBA executive told Wojnarowski that "the way this is strutted now, the Nets will significantly upgrade their team."  It has been rumored that every player on the Nets roster is available in the pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, except their promising young center Brook Lopez.  

Wojnarowski has also reported that the Nets are supposedly willing to send rookie Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, two or three future first round draft picks and $3 million to Denver in exchange for Carmelo Anthony and Al Harrington.  

If the Nets do indeed pull off a trade for Anthony, it is expected that other moves will be made in order to surround Melo with some more talent.  Devin Harris is likely to be one of the players that would be traded in the pursuit to assemble more weapons around the 6'7'' small forward out of Syracuse, if he is to be acquired.
