NBA Rumors: Latest Information on Notable Veterans Still Without a Team

Marcus Camby still doesn't have a team, but that could change shortly. Chris Tomasson of Fox Sports tweets that the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls are all interested, but the Heat are not as aggressive in their pursuit.



Perhaps the Heat believe they will land free-agent center Greg Oden, who is a bigger risk—because of injury, not money—but a much higher reward because of youth and talent.

Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that Oden is set to decide between six teams soon.



Taking the Camby stories further, FOX 26 in Houston's Mark Berman is reporting that Camby has passed a physical with the Rockets but still hasn't decided what team he will play for.

Camby has history with the Rockets, and per Berman's report, he owns a home in nearby Pearlman, Texas. That said, it seems he could play a more integral role as a second or third big man for the Chicago Bulls.

In Houston, Camby would certainly be behind Dwight Howard and Omer Asik on the depth chart.
