September is generally a quiet month in the NBA, but things have changed quiet a bit in recent years, thanks to the latest collective bargaining agreement.

Instead of partaking in a splurge of veteran free-agent signings, smart organizations are instead choosing to weigh their options heading into training camp.

That doesn’t mean that players without a job are essentially out of luck until October; some franchises around the league reportedly have their eyes on a handful of veterans who would be brought in as role players.
