Even former MVPs can't escape the NBA rumor mill.

Derrick Rose is a three-time All-Star and won the league's MVP award as a member of the Chicago Bulls in 2011, but his tenure in the Windy City could be coming to a premature end, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst: 



Rose still has two years remaining on his contract and is owed a little over $41 million before it expires. Let's take a look at what could happen in the future with Rose, as well as potential trade talks regarding two-time NBA champion Mario Chalmers:

Rose to Philadelphia Would be a Risk Rose has been a superstar in his career, averaging 20.2 points, 6.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game. He's also been constantly injured. The former Memphis Tiger missed the entire 2012-13 season due to a knee injury he suffered in the 2012 playoffs and averaged just 33 games per year between the 2011-12 and 2014-15 seasons.
