NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics Head Coach Doc Rivers To Miami Heat?

Can you imagine the Heat hiring a head coach with a championship ring?  Well, this could actually happen in the near future, according to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo Sports. According to the report, Heat President Pat Riley has the experienced Doc Rivers at the very top of his list of potential coaching candidates.

This report is a hypothetical scenario of what could happen if Riley ever decides to replace Erik Spolestra, who is entering his third season with the team.

It is very important to understand that this is nothing more than a rumor. However, it is not a crazy rumor and within the realm of possibility.

There is no doubt that Erik Spolestra can flat out coach. He has a tremendous understanding for the game of basketball and he knows what it takes to win.

In addition, you can’t compare Doc Rivers to Erik Spolestra. Rivers is the more experienced of the two and knows what it takes to win a championship. Therefore, you can’t make a fair comparison.

During the past two seasons, Spolestra helped keep the Heat very competitive.
