Carmelo Anthony to the Philadelphia 76ers Is Possible
Marc Stein reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are now openly shopping Andre Iguodala.
“Several executives believe the Sixers will eventually relent on Iguodala and put him on the open market to create more daylight for No. 2 overall draft pick Evan Turner,” he wrote.
Rumors were in fact noted earlier, though, that the star wing player could have been going to the New Orleans Hornets to help out Chris Paul and company. But the rumors died down, according to Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News.
Cooney writes: “A source said yesterday that a report by ESPN.com that the Sixers had rebuffed an offer by the New Orleans Hornets involving Iguodala wasn’t true and that there were no talks.”
But Iguodala is still receiving interest.
“Philadelphia’s getting lots of calls about Iguodala and will have plenty of options if it decides to trade him,” Chris Broussard reported.
