NBA Rising Stars Challenge: Counting Down the Top 10 Plays of the Game

Though the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge of years past was replaced by the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge this year, the new event was just as fun and exciting as the Rookie Challenge of years past. The annual showcase of rookie and sophomore talent gave us plenty of eye-opening highlights.

Just like the actual All-Star Game, the Rising Stars Challenge is a star-studded event where very little defense is played and players try for their flashy plays to get us out of our seats. Not surprisingly, they did very well in that area.

Predictably, the likes of John Wall, Ricky Rubio, and Blake Griffin gave us a lot to like—they feature prominently in my top 10 plays of the game. Some other guys, like Paul George, Markieff Morris, and DeMarcus Cousins had a few nice moments themselves. All in all, the Rising Stars Challenge was a great show.
