NBA Rated PG: The League Is on Point for the Future

This might be the deepest point guard position has ever been in the NBA.

There are so many young and talented ball-handlers manning NBA rosters today: Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Aaron Brooks, and Monte Ellis, just to name a few.

All of those guys have five years or less in the league and still have a lot of good basketball left to play.

Tyreke Evans, Stephon Curry, Ty Lawson, Brandon Jennings, and Darren Collison, and Johnnie Flynn were all first round picks last year have very bright futures.



Ricky Rubio will come over the pond from Spain next year and bring his Pete Maravich-type ball wizardry to the NBA stage.

Speaking of Wizards, Washington’s John Wall has all the skills, and is expected to be a great player from day one.

The young talent is plentiful, but of course you can’t overlook the savvy veteran point men like Chauncey Billups, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Tony Longoria, Baron Davis, and Gilbert (no guns in the…) Arenas.

They are not ready to hand over the rock to the youngsters.
