Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers lost their first game of the year this week quickly followed by a second, while LeBron James and the Miami Heat lost out to the Boston Celtics once again.

The New Orleans Hornets continued to impress and now stand as the only undefeated team, and the San Antonio Spurs kept climbing with a strong four-win week.

Add to that the continued late heroics of the Utah Jazz and the success of the Dallas Mavericks, and you have an exciting seven days in the world of the NBA.
