NBA Power Rankings: Lake Show Returns To Lead, Suns Keep Rising

It’s time for another week of NBA Power Rankings from your Featured Columnists. This week the L.A. Lakers and Phoenix Suns occupy the top two spots, while the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Jersey Nets continue to round out the bottom.

1.  LA Lakers
Surprise, surprise. The Hollywood crew is cruising to yet another great season at 13-3. Kobe Bryant and company have also won six straight and are 10-2 at home.

2. Phoenix Suns
The Suns currently have the best record percentage-wise at 14-3. Phoenix is also streaking, having won four straight and going 8-2 over their last 10 games. Oh yeah, the Suns also haven’t lost at home.

3. Orlando Magic
Although Orlando has dropped a couple notches since last week, they are still on quite a roll at 14-4. The Magic are atop the East and have won three in a row.

4. Boston Celtics
After a super hot start, the Celtics now appear to be human with a 13-4 mark. Boston is 7-3 in their last 10 games and are currently riding a four-game win streak. The Celtics are also coming off a big win over the Heat to keep their win streak alive.
