NBA Power Rankings: Cavs and Hawks Lead the Way in the NBA

There are two things that can make a good NBA team falter throughout the season, age and injuries. 

At the 10-game mark, we are starting to see a consistent effort from the younger and deeper teams in the NBA while the ones relying on the elderly can't perform every night. 

Here's your Power Rankings three weeks deep in the season:


1. Cleveland Cavaliers (9) - New lineups have the Cavs riding high, they are in a great position to win their next six, making it 10 straight.

2. Atlanta Hawks (8) - Going into Boston and winning by 11 makes a statement and the rest of the NBA has taken notice.

3. Los Angeles Lakers (1) - Dropping the second of a back to back in Denver after dismantling Phoenix isn't enough to drop the Lakers, but losing at home to Houston is.

4. Phoenix Suns (4) - So we know the Lakers are better than them, but that could be said for 28 other teams right now, too.

5. Orlando Magic (3) - Rashard Lewis will have two games to get in rhythm before heading into Boston, and yes, I think Orlando will come out on top.
